I love pizza lunchables. Like, really L-O-V-E them!
They aren't super bad for you; but, they really have very little nutritional value at all, empty calories and all that and thus, aren't filling unless I eat 2 or 3 of them. So I made my own!
First, I knew what I wanted to do for my crusts. I wanted to use Flat-Out Bread and I was going to use a large biscuit cutter to make them into crust shapes. But when I got to the store, they didn't have any so I bought Oroweat Multigrain sandwich thins Instead. They worked great, and no added work of having to cut them in the right shape!
Then I bought turkey based pepperoni, and part skim mozzarella.

Then I made the pizza sauce. I like my sauce sweet , but I wanted a low sugar sauce; so I found this recipe that uses Hansen's Natural Rootbeer; but that recipe was way to many ingredients for my cooking ability or budget, so I found a simpler one HERE, and I substituted some of the water for root beer.
But Wait....Hansens still has sugar!
That is true, but I started with a small amount: 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup (2 oz) of root beer, and I'm glad I started small, because that was plenty sweet! Also I made 6 pizza sauce servings from the recipe so it ended up being less than a gram of sugar per serving,
